Sisters Edge Hair Salon Covid-19 Protocols

Donna, carol and Lisa from Sisters Edge are looking forward to seeing you all from the 4th July 2020, as long as the prime minister doesn’t extend the closed period. We are currently taking bookings, and would just like to make you all aware of our new covid 19 health and safety procedures within the Salon. 

  • Please do not attend you appointment if you or anyone you are living with, or have been in contact with have tested positive for covid-19 in the last 20 days, or currently show any symptoms of Covid 19, even if you think it may be just a cold. We are currently not charging cancellation charges through the difficult period.
  • We are only offering pre-booked treatments via telephone; we will not be able to take in any walk in appointments.
  • Please avoid bringing big coats and bags to your appointment.
  • Please attend your appointment 5 minutes before your appointment. If you arrive late for your appointment, the appointment may have to be cut back or even cancelled, as the stylists have allocated time to sanitise and disinfect all the furniture and equipment between appointments.
  • Please do not enter the salon in till you are called through, please wait in the designated area, during this time there is no waiting area. We require you to attend your appointment alone, unless you are booked in as two or a family booking. We ask you to wear a mask at all times during your appointment. If you do not have a mask we can provide you with a mask.
  • We will no longer have reading literature, but you are more than welcome to bring your own.
  • We have hand sanitiser to use as you enter and leave the salon, if you are more comfortable wearing gloves after sanitising, we are happy to provide you with some. As you enter the salon we will take your temperature, if your temperature in normal we will provide you with a disposable gown to wear during your treatment. Unfortunately if you have a high temperature, we will have to rearrange you appointment.
We are accepting Cash and Card payments.

To adhere to the government current guidelines we have put the following procedures in place:

  • All staff will be wearing a mask, Visor and disposable apron, along with disposable gloves when possible during the treatment.
  • All equipment and surfaces are cleaned and disinfected between every client, and the salon is deep cleaned every evening.
  • All hair towels are laundered with antibacterial laundry wash, and a fresh one is used for each client.
  • We have provided protective screens between the stylist stations, and were needed.
  • All staff is required to wash their hands and sanitise them between every client, and after cleaning and prepping.
During this difficult time we unfortunately have to make a small charge on top of your treatments towards PPE. For Cutting appointments £3, for Colouring appointments £5.00. This is only a temporary charge and will be stopped as soon as the current situation improves.
